Applicant emails now come from your own address

Applicants used to get your emails from Optible's shared address. Now they can get them from grants@yourorg.org, or whatever address you choose on your own domain.

Setup is one page. Open Settings, then Email sender under Organization settings, enter your domain and select Add domain. Optible gives you three DNS records to copy into your DNS provider. The page watches for them and flips to Verified on its own, usually within a few minutes. Pick your From address and display name, and every status email, invitation and scheduled email goes out as you.

Your mailboxes stay untouched: the three records only let Optible sign emails sent as your domain. The page also checks two optional extras, a custom MAIL FROM and a DMARC policy, and marks each record Found, Not found or Does not match. Step-by-step instructions are in Sending Email From Your Own Domain.

Only organisation admins can see the page, and you need access to your domain's DNS settings. Verification can take up to 72 hours. If the records disappear later, emails fall back to Optible's shared address and the admin who set up the domain gets an email.

What's new
  • Readable application links. Links to an application now use its display ID, such as FIFA-000000, instead of a long internal ID. Links with the internal ID still open the same application.

Bug fixes
  • Warnings about unanswered questions no longer show on an application form until someone edits it.

  • In the form builder, you can move an existing field into a container, and the drop indicator looks the same wherever you drag.
