Grant admins can now build their own workflows

A grant admin builds a workflow with a condition and two paths, then opens a run in Run history

Open a grant and go to Settings, then Workflows. Each workflow starts from a trigger, such as an application being submitted, and you build it on a canvas from the top down. Click + Add step to assign a project lead, set a status or a field, run part of the Optible assessment, or push the application to a connected system.

Add an Only continue if condition and the run stops for applications that don’t match. Split into paths when applications need different handling: large requests go to a senior officer while the rest move straight to review. Each path gets the same data and runs on its own, so a failure on one path doesn’t stop the others. When you fill in a step, the data picker only offers what exists at that point, and Save is blocked if a step points at something that won’t have run.

Switch to Run history to see what happened. Pick a run and the canvas shows each step as completed, failed or skipped, and each path as taken or not, with the reason. Click a step to see what it received and what it gave back.

Every grant already has a workflow called Optible assessment, which runs the assessment one step at a time. You can reorder those steps, drop one or add your own. Editing workflows needs grant admin access. Workflows can’t send emails yet, and board sanctions screening isn’t part of the default workflow, so grants that screen boards need to add that step themselves.
